The Fifty Shades movie is now out on DVD. I have not seen it, nor will I. I did read the trilogy a while back, but what the two main players in the story look like in my mind is so very, very different from the two people they have playing the characters, I just cannot bring myself to watch it.
However, the movie brings up questions, no doubt, for those not involved in BDSM. Or, you may have questions or ideas about it. And some of the things in the books (and no doubt, movie) don’t accurately describe the BDSM lifestyle. I’m not saying it may not describe some peoples’ experience. But certainly not ours, and not many of those we know.
So first, let me remind you, or introduce you to an interesting fact. Studies show that more than 50 percent of females and about 50 percent of males derive pleasure from some sort of pain during sexual activity. This may come from nipple clamps, spanking, flogging, what have you. If more than half of the adults in the world indulge in some form of BDSM, who decided it’s wrong or perverted?
Clyde and I believe that the “forbidden” aspect lends at least some excitement to all of it. After all, when we indulge, we do not leave the windows or blinds open, nor do our children know about it. But in case you are on the fence about it or think you are weird, scary, or just a plain pervert, rest assured you are not any of those things.
Of course, there ARE ways that BDSM could be dangerous and all that. But as always, we are only referring to consensual activities, where both parties agree on everything. If this is the case, then all is well.
People associate many myths with BDSM, and I will go into those in subsequent posts. For now, however, just explore the BDSM sex furniture we have to offer, along with the incredibly sexy toys that The Stockroom has to offer. You can store our furniture discretely in its shipping box. Also, all of them disassemble easily and are easy to assemble as well. Clyde does incredibly beautiful work, and you will not be disappointed with anything you purchase from Bonnie & Clyde Furniture.
Until next time,
Bonnie
